Cameroon league one side, cotonsport of Garoua, has beaten Futuro Kings of Mongomo 3#0, in an international friendly. The match took place at the Annex one of the Omnisport Stadium in yaounde.

Futuro Kings ended the game with nine men, following red cards to defender Igor and playmaker, Traore.

MATCH REPORT.

At the fifth minute of the game, Arnaud Sibiri benefited from a poor defending from FUTURO Kings Igor, and found an on rushing Marou Souaibou, who slotted home from close range to beat Goalkeeper Sopunge.

At the ninth minute, Gael Gregoire Nkama came close for Futuro Kings, with a powerful header that went narrowly over the crossbar.

Cotonsport multiplied several onslaughts, and it was Igor’s goal line clearance at the 28th minute, that prevented more casualty for the Equato Guinean side.

Nelson Joel Moukeu was pulled out at the 35th minute of the game, as coach Alexander Belinga of Futuro Kings injected fresh blood in Traore.

All attempts from former Tonnerre Kalara Club captain, Gregoire Nkama, to get Futuro Kings back in the game, were cancelled by the nonsense François Etame and Hervé Ngomo at the heart of cotonsport’s defense.

FUTURO Kings’ starting XI vs cotonsport

Lionel Abate’s acrobatic drive five minutes away from halftime, was the closest cotonsport came, as they searched for their second goal of the game.

A late first half penalty saw cotonsport increase tally through Lionel Abate.

Jose and Miguel were introduced before the kick-off of the second segment, while Chico Atangana was withdrawn. Goalkeeper Fru Derrick Anye made a superb save to stop a belter from FUTURO Kings’ Randy.

Futuro Kings would be reduced to the 10 men, when their defense man Igor was shown red at the 50th minute.

Cotonsport brought in Gueme Areina and Yannick Ebongue, as Lionel Abate and Baliang Francis ceded their places.

Another red card was shown to Futuro Kings play maker, Traore, following a challenge on a Cotonsport player.

Running short of options, coach Alexander Belinga brought in Sanogo, who however could not add anything meaningful for Futuro Kings.

Veteran Forward, Daouda Kamilou and Okoumou Rosis were brought on in the last quarter of the game for the cotonnites, as they replaced Tombi Francis Alemi and Arnaud Sanou Sibiri respectively.

At the 80th minute, Gueme Areina fired cotonsport three goals up, before coach Aboubakar Souleymanou brought in defensive reinforcements, through Banga Bienvenu, while Futuro Kings sacrificed Gregoire Nkama for Gerardo.

Cotonsport consolidated their three goals lead till the end, thereby recording their first preseason win out of home. This after they played a three all tie with league two side, FAP of Yaounde, last Sunday.

Cotonsport and Futuro Kings will clash again on Sunday October 25th, this time around at the Bafoussam Omnisport Stadium.
