Haschou Kerrido saves late penalty as Cameroon champions roar in Tripoli

Cameroon league one champions, PWD Social football Club of Bamenda has beaten Al Ahli Tripoli 2#1, in an international friendly.

The game was played at the Tripoli International stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Home side Al Ahli took the lead just three minutes into the game, but PWD replied at the 14th minute, through 18_year_old Nchindo John Bosco.

The Abakwa Boys dominated most of the first segment, but could not add a second before the break.

Upon resumption for the second segment, Al Ahli effected Six substitutions, and look more dangerous in their offensives.

Coach David Pagou brought in Billy Samin for Hamzat Ibrahim, and later on more changes followed, with Neloh Kelvin for Mbah Louiz, Fegue Omgba for Tchaoua Leger, Enyegue François for Aboubakar Mohammed and Emmanuel Samuel for Yamkam Basile.

As the huge crowd at the Tripoli thought things were settling for a draw game, Ndeh Collins produced a moment of magic, when he fired home a long ranger from the Midfield at added times to put PWD in front.

Al Ahli was awarded a late penalty, but Goalkeeper Haschou Kerrido stayed solid to maintain his solid performance.

The Abakwa Boys have now recorded their first international win since the were crowned Champions of the Cameroon league one Championship in May 2020.

Both sides will again clash on Saturday November 21, in the return leg game, still at the Tripoli International stadium.
