Accra Hearts of Oak player, Christopher Bonney has confessed that his side needed to lash WAFA for the maximum three points in the Normalization Committee special Competition.
The Continental club Masters on Sunday in the match-day 9 of the NC special cup whitewashed Sogakope based premier league side, WAFA 4-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium to move top of Premier B table.
The defender, speaking to Kumasi-based Radio AshhFM SuperSports revealed that, the rainbow boys needed to win WAFA badly for the three(3) points.
“We needed the points badly so we went all out in our game against WAFA to win and top our group”We are hoping and praying to improve in every game we play because our group is very tough”.
“Kim Grant is a nice and friendly Coach,he understands and motivates the players before and after games and it is helping us a lot”, he said.
Bonney touched on the philosophy of Coach Kim Grant by blending the youth players with the seniors for the competition.Despite, criticism by some pundits that, the phobian team is beyond youthful recruit.
“Blending of the senior and young players in our team is not a problem because, the young players listens to advice from the senior players in the team and it helps us a lot in our games”.
Currently the Phobians are top of the group with 18 points from nine games.
