Although Nayef Aguerd’s £30million arrival from Rennes this week is a good start, David Moyes still has some way to go before he can be pleased with the summer transfer window.
The West Ham boss is hoping is that Aguerd – a left-footed centre-back who will immediately improve the defence and who, at 26-year-old, has both his best years ahead of him and has a high potential resale value – can be the first domino to fall in Moyes’ dream plan.
