Manchester United are yet to sign a new player this summer, but the lights in the Old Trafford boardroom have been on.
John Murtough was appointed as United’s sporting director last year and he’s been given increased responsibility since Richard Arnold succeeded Ed Woodward. Murtough is responsible for United’s recruitment and Erik ten Hag can veto any proposed deals.
