Speaking to the media on the eve of England’s Euro 2022 opener against Austria at Old Trafford, the head coach, Sarina Wiegman, said her team were ‘ready to go’. All tickets have been sold for the game amid great expectation that the hosts will perform well. England’s captain, Leah Williamson, said the players will enjoy the tournament, adding that ‘pressure is a privilege’.
