A motorcade flanking the hearse containing the Brazilian football legend’s coffin was greeted by fireworks and columns of mourning fans on Monday as it made its way from São Paulo’s Albert Einstein Hospital, where Pelé died, to Santos FC, where a wake and memorial will take place until Tuesday.
