Manchester City midfielder Laura Coombs has won the PFA Vertu Motors WSL Fans’ Player of the Month award for December.
The 31-year-old enjoyed a fine month before the winter break, helping her side to four points from two games.
Coombs kicked off December with the third goal in City’s comprehensive 3-1 win at home to Brighton. She then scored a crucial equaliser in a 1-1 draw with title rivals Manchester United in the Manchester derby at a packed Etihad Stadium.
