Manchester United has confirmed they will not appeal the decision to send Casemiro off in the draw with Southampton on Sunday.
The defensive midfielder received a straight red for his high challenge on Southampton’s Carlos Alcaraz in the first half of the eventual 0-0 draw at Old Trafford.
It was Casemiro’s second straight red in his last three Premier League games for Manchester United, having been given his marching orders in the win over Crystal Palace in February too. Due to the accumulation of red cards, the Brazilian is now set to face a ban of four domestic games.
