Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is set to join Gareth Southgate’s England coaching staff as the replacement for Chris Powell, who has decided to step down from his position.
Hassselbaink enjoyed a glittering playing career, winning 23 caps for the Netherlands and representing a clutch of British clubs, including Leeds and Chelsea. Since his retirement, he has made strides as a coach and manager, taking charge of Royal Antwerp, Burton Albion (twice), QPR and Northampton. His most recent role was at Burton, which he left last September.
