It’s been a bumpy road for Erik ten Hag in his debut season at the helm, but that was always expected given Manchester United’s turbulence in a post-Fergie world.

While the Dutchman has endured several miserable lows this term, including the recent abject 3-0 defeat in Seville, there’s no doubt that his first campaign at Old Trafford has been an overall success.

United are heading in the right direction under Ten Hag, who could yet end 2022/23 with a top four spot and two trophies, having already won the Carabao Cup and reaching June’s FA Cup final.
