US men’s national team forward Tim Weah expressed his excitement after signing for Serie A giants Juventus.
The 23-year-old is usually deployed as a winger for the US, but was no stranger to filling in at either full-back position for his previous club, LOSC Lille in France’s Ligue 1.
The move for Weah came after Juan Cuadrado left the Old Lady on a free transfer to join Italian rivals Inter after originally joining in 2017. Cuadrado’s departure left a hole in the right wing-back position, and Juventus may see Weah as a perfect replacement.
