Tottenham outcast joins Leeds United on season-long loan

Tottenham Hotspur right-back Djed Spence has signed for Leeds United on a season-long loan.

The England youth international has been used sparingly by Spurs ever since his 2022 move from Middlesbrough. Upon his arrival, he was infamously labelled as a ‘club signing’ by then-head coach Antonio Conte.

Spence played just 41 minutes for Tottenham before joining Rennes on loan for the remainder of the season during the January transfer window.

He returned to north London this summer but failed to make an immediate impression under new head coach Ange Postecoglou and has now joined Leeds on loan…
