Manchester United have submitted a 25-player squad for the 2023/24 Champions League group stage, including new signings Rasmus Hojlund and Sofyan Amrabat.
Every club competing in the group stage must have a minimum of eight “locally trained” players in their squad, either trained by the club or another within that country. United have nine.
In keeping with the UEFA regulations, there are five players who are considered “club trained” – that includes Luke Shaw because he joined United aged 18 – and four others who came through the ranks at other English teams. There are 16 other players.
