Ajax were very close to securing all three points, but Almere City had other plans
Nigerian forward Chuba Akpom got off the bench to score a brace for Ajax in their painful 2-2 draw at Almere City in the Dutch Eredivisie, Soccernet reports.
Ajax returned to Eredivisie action with a game against Almere City at the Yanmar Stadion. Akpom had been in fine form recently, scoring in his last two league games. However, coach Van’t Schip decided to start him from the bench for the game at Almere.
