Bayern Munich were not the only big club chasing Australian prodigy Nestory Irankunda before announcing his arrival on a long-term contract this week, 90min understands.
Irankunda made his Adelaide United debut in Australia’s A-League at the age of just 15 in January 2022. Despite not starting a senior match last season, he did feature in the majority of games off the bench and contributed an impressive seven goal involvements.
Bayern have announced Irankunda’s arrival but he will only make the move to Germany in February when he turns 18, as per FIFA rules on international transfers.
