The coach of the U17 Indomitable Lionesses Stéphane Ndzana has called 28 players who will take part in a camp ahead of the U17 India 2021 World Cup qualifier game opposing the baby lionesses to their Ugandan counterparts.
In the list which made public on September 16, 2020, coach Ndzana has called up the same players who had earlier been preselected before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This camp which will take place in Yaoundé, will run from September 21 to 30, 2020.
Indeed, the Cameroon team had performed brilliantly in the first round of the qualifiers with a 10-0 aggregate win over Sao Tome
This time, the squad are preparing for a double opposition against Uganda.

Cameroon: Women Footballers to receive Salaries for the upcoming Championship.
The players of the Cameroon women division one championship will be receiving salaries as from this upcoming Women’s top flight championship.
This great innovation comes after the president of the Cameroon Football Federation, Seidou Mbombo Njoya met with some stakeholders of Women’s football in Cameroon on Thursday October 1, 2020.
One of the innovations of the meeting was the confirmation of Guinness Cameroon as the main sponsor of the women’s top flight championship.
Guinness Cameroon, according to the stakeholders of Women’s football, the aforementioned sponsor will take charge of the payments of salaries of female footballers in the women’s top flight championship for upcoming season.
This initiative comes at a time when the world football governing body (FIFA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) are making strives to ensure the worldwide growth of Women’s football.
Morocco, one of the African countries to follow the path of FIFA and CAF have set a salary pay for their women’s top flight at 350 Euros.
Though the exact salary amount of the players of the Cameroon top flight is not yet confirmed, many see the initiative as a welcoming development, judging from the fact that it’s an effort to encourage women’s football in the country.
The new women’s football championship will begin on October 17 for the Division one championship and October 30 for the Division two championship.

The meeting provided an avenue for both parties to discuss the way forward for the future of Women’s football in Cameroon.
At the end of the working session, the fecafoot boss outlined some top innovations with regards to the start of the new women’s football championship.
Top Five innovations for the upcoming Cameroon Women’s Championship
–Guinness Cameroon will be the main sponsor of the Cameroon Women’s top flight championship and will take charge of the salaries of female players of the top flight championship.
-For a start, the Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV) will broadcast matches of the female top flight championship.
-Second Division clubs Wil also benefit from the financial support.
-There will be the creation of awards at the end of the seasons to encourage the different actors and give some bonuses at the end of matches.
-The Division one and two championship will be played in the interval of Approximately two weeks.
It should be noted that, this initiative is coming at a time when football world governing body (FIFA )and the Continental of African Football (CAF) are making strives to see that women’s football grow in the globe.
The new season of the women’s championship will be begin on October 17 for the Division one championship and October 30 for divisions two championship.

Madeleine Michele Ngono Mani, ex forward of the Indomitable Lionesses does not exactly share the point of view of the petition launched by the association of the Former Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon which challenges the decision to cancel the AWCON 2020.
Talking to a Cameroonian based radio, of Magic FM, theall time best goalscorer of the Lionesses of all time (49 goals) see in CAF’s decision an opportunity.
”For the Women’s AWCON 2020, i’m a little disappointed as any sportswoman and sportsman. At the same time, it’s not a big surprise, I think it’s a good decision made by FIFA and others because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Now it will allow the different teams to better prepare for the next competitions and to be ready for on the d day ” declared the 36-year-old player who haven’t been recalled in the Lionesses’s den since the end of the Women’s World Cup 2019 in France.
