Cotonsport of Garoua has confirmed that two of their players, Felix Oukine and Hervé Ngomo, have been called up to join Cameroon’s National football selection, ahead of their double AFCON qualifiers against Mozambique.

Midfielder Felix Oukine has been in scintillating form for the cotonnites, and has now been captaining the team, as regular captain, Daouda Kamilou struggles to break into Coach Aboubakar Souleymanou’s starting XI.

For Hervé Ngomo, he has been rock solid at the back, since joining cotonsport from Panthere Sportive of Nde, where he had a great season in the 2019_2020.

Hervé Ngomo

“Oukine Felix and Hervé Ngomo have called to join the Indomitable lions, to play the games against Mozambique”, cotonsport’s media Officer, Adamou Saliou wrote in one of the club’s social media platforms.

Coach Antonio Conceição summoned 25 players for the back to back games, but so far only, Aboubacar Vincent Fabrice Ondoa, Zambo Anguissa, Omossola Simon, Christian Bassogog, Arnaud Djoum, and Ngah Fabrice have already arrived camp in Douala.

Other players might likely miss the game due to covid-19 restrictions, so António Conceição is already taking precautions.

Surprisingly, Oukine and Ngomo were not even part of the players on Conceição’s waiting list.
