29-year-old Jacque Zoua Daougari has been handed a long awaited maiden call up at the ranks of the Intermediate Lions, in a latest list of 33 released by coach Martin Ndtongou Mpile.
The 2017 AFCON winner was without contract for chunks of this year after running out his contract with Romanian first-tier side Viitorul Constanța.
Since his arrival back in the country, Zoua trained with Cotonsport for a while before joining amateur side AS Futuro.
The forward is joined by club mate Ndjeng Yannick, Man Ikre, Elimbi Francis, Meyong Alfred and Kemajou Junior.
It remains a huge doubt if Zoua can lead Cameroon to the African Nations Championship as their go-to-guy, given his disturbing record with the national men’s team. Zoua played competitive games from 2011 to 2019 without scoring a single goal with the Indomitable Lions; he made 26 appearances in that time.
Zoua and co head to camp at Mbankomo from the 20th of this month.
