Intermediate lions: Ndtoungou Mpile’s prescription for success

Newly appointed head coach of the intermediate lions of Cameroon, Martin Ndtoungou Mpile, as called on players to show determination, as they gear up for the African Nations championship.

Ndtongou Mpile was appointed coach on Wednesday October 21, following a joint MINSEP_FECAFOOT meeting, that ended with the sacking of Yves Clement Arroga.

The new head coach and his assistance, Emmanuel Ndoumbe Bosso and David Pagou, met with the players for the first time since their appointment, on Sunday October 25, as they opened a training camp at the CAF Excellence center in Mbankomo.

According to FECAFOOT’s official website, the tactician official presented his ambitions and expectations to the preselected players in a meeting on Sunday evening, stating clearly his wish to win the competition on home soil. A wish which he says needs the total dedication of the players.

Everyone in the group must be determined and performant, if we must succeed”, Ndtongou Mpile told his players.

Haven previously served as a supervisor during the reign of Arroga, Mpile says it gave him the opportunity to know the players, but he can only evaluate them based on their performance in upcoming friendly games.

The intermediate lions are expected to be in camp for the next two weeks. It is their third training camp after the COVID_19 break.
