25_year_old Intermediate lions left back Serge Andoulou shook off his injury fears, as he trained with his teammates on Saturday morning, in Mbankomo.
The Union of Douala full back was subbed off at the 38 minute of Cameroon’s 1#1 draw against Uganda on new year’s day, following a head-on collision with the Cranes’ Ojera Joachiam. Andoulou was replaced by Stade Renard’s Steve Roberto, as he left the pitch with a bandaged head, following a tear to his left eyelid.
According to the Communication department of the intermediate lions, Andoulou trained with the rest of the squad on Saturday morning at their base in Mbankomo, and the medical team of the lions have assured that there is no need to panic .
A note from the media Officer of the intermediate lions says;
“According to the on-site team medical officer for Cameroon Dr Thom Bolivar, the injury raises no cause for alarm. All medical dispositions have been taken to ensure that the player is fit for the next fixture”.
The intermediate lions recorded their fifth draw in the Ndtoungou Mpile era, following their one all tie against Uganda.
The team takes on the Menas of Niger in their second game of the four nation pre_CHAN tournament on Monday January 4, 2021 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaounde from 6pm local time.
