24_year_old Cameroonian goalkeeper Joseph Fabrice Ondoa Ebogo, has taken to Social media to voice out his frustration, following the termination of his contract by Belgian side KV Oostende.
Barely hours after KV Oostende announced that the former FC Sevilla goalie’s contract was terminated with immediate effect for holding a lockdown party over the weekend which went against Covid-19 barrier measures, the Goalkeeper has now described the move by the club as Scandalous.
“I just heard the news this afternoon in the mail almost at the same time as the press. I admit to being shocked, because the club did not even bother to invite me to explain the facts which I am accused”, Ondoa wrote on his official Instagram page.
“They are making such a serious decision without even bothering to hear me. I just got a letter from their Lawyer. It’s scandalous. If they had bothered to invite me to explain, they would have understood that I have nothing to reproach myself with. I didn’t organize anything at all, and it surely wasn’t a lockdown party. Terms are important in life”, the 2017 AFCON winning Goalkeeper concluded.
Joseph Fabrice Ondoa Ebogo joined KV Oostende in 2018 from FC Sevilla upon recommendation from his AFCON winning coach Hugo Bross, who was then sporting Director at the club
Ondoa has since fallen down the pecking orders, with Belgian Guillaume Hubert now the first choice Keeper at the club.
