Ex-Black Star player John Paintsil has denied circulating reports of the snatch of Wa All Stars by NDC Member of Parliament for acquiring Wa All Stars.
It was reported on Monday evening by section of the media, that Minority Speaker of Parliament Hon. Haruna Iddrisu is the new owner of former Ghana Premier League Champions, Wa All Stars after purchasing the club from former GFA President Kwesi Nyanatakyi.
The release from John Painstil who is believed to be the owner of Wa All Stars – has stated emphatically that, Nyantakyi can not still be the owner of the club since he has penned his signatures to all documents related to the club.
Therefore, no truth in the reportage of Hon. Haruna Iddrisu purchasing the Northern club.
“RE: NDC MP HARUNA IDDRISU BUYS WA ALL STARS FROM KWESI NYANTAKYI
“Our attention has been brought to publication by certain Media outlets with the above headline.
“We wish to state that nothing can be farther from the truth. As at date, Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi is not the owner of WA ALL Stars. He has signed all the documents evidencing the transfer of his interest in the club and which documents have been processed at the relevant State Institutions. He can therefore not sell a club he is not the owner of. Any person who deals with Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi or any person who claims to be acting on his behalf in respect of Wa All Stars, does so at the peril of being defrauded.
“Any person interested in verifying this fact, can do so at the Registrar General’s Department. We have attached the profile of the company from the Registrar Generals Department for case of reference”.
