URA vs Azam FC

URA traps Azam 1-0 in a fierce physical battle

 

The Uganda Revenue Authority FC played off favorites AZam FC with a 1-0 win after an epic game which left Enock Atta sent off with a direct red card.

URA’s goal came at the 30th minute when they pressurized Azam FC and in a battle for the ball right into the penalty box; Kagaba Nicholas was fastest and hit the ball into the back of the net.

At half time, Azam FC will sent on the pitch an artillery of stars; Bernard Arthur, Enock Atta and Hoza. They definitely mounted pressure but the URA defence remained strong and unbroken with captain Munaaba Allan holding Bernard Arthur and co tight.

Time elapsed out between injury breaks and delaying tactics from URA and at the blast of the final whistle, URA players raised their hands to the sky to celebrate victory! Man of the match – Sseruyide Moses!

Mlandege vs Singida : A football lesson from Singida United.

Without forcing out on their talents, Singida United beat Mlandege 3-0 in a group stage match which turned out to become a lesson of football. After 30minutes of resistance, Mlandege conceded its first goal scored through penalty by Danny Usengimana. Eight minutes later Kenny Ally made it two for Singidad United and the 3rd goal came at the 53rd minute signed Libinda Mundia alias Mbia who came in as substitute. Sjngidad co trolled the GAM from start to finish and earned another precious 3 points which will determinant at the final countdown in the group stages. Man of the match –  Shafik Batambuze

Young Africans vs Taïfa: Taifa always plays well but loses as well

Haven rested some few players; Young Africans had to hold tight in front of an everlasting offensive Taifa side. Dominated in the first quarter of the match, the Young Africans contained the attacks of Taifa and waited for the right moment to strike. Three minutes into extra time( 48th,), Yanga got the curtain raiser through Ibrahim Ajib . (1-0). Yohana Nkomola scored the second goal at the 61st minute benefiting from a defensive error from the Taifa defenders. (2-0).
