Njie Clinton Marks Lions Return With Aplomb

Handed just under 25 minutes against Mozambique on his return, Njie Clinton scored Cameroon’s fourth and final goal of the encounter.

There couldn’t be a more captivating timing. The 27-year-old is having the time of his life after successfully bagged home a goal each, for club and country.

Njie Clinton’s strike against Mozambique was his 10 in 33 games, since he made his debut for Cameroon in 2014.

As a reminder, was the first time the former Marseille man played for the national selection, since Cameroon’s ousting in the AFCON against Nigeria, mid – last year.

Njie Clinton will look to capitalise on the performance in the first leg, to perhaps fight and win a starter’s role in Maputo, four days from now.
