“No cause for alarm Kenya ready to host CHAN”.

“The country shall host CHAN be assured of that” that was the statement of the Kenyan FA president as he moved to quell fears that Kenya may not be able to host CHAN due to lack of government commitment and preparedness.

The presser conference which was attended by the ministry officials came in the of rumours that CAF had asked the South Africa FA and Morrocan FA to be ready to step in and host the tournament incase Kenya failed to be ready on time.

During the press conference government officials present assured the media that money for finishing the remainder of stadium constrution and construction of new facilities was already out and that everything is supposes to be ready by November of 2017.

The tournament scheduled to kick off in January 2015 is expected to be played in five stadiums including Nyayo Stadium which shall be closed down for renovations after the 27th August mashemeji derby between Gor Mahia and AFC Leaopards, other stadiums include Kinoru Stadium in Meru, Kipchoge Keino in Eldoret, Moi Stadium in Machakos and Kasarani Stadium which the only tournament ready stadium.
