Alain Thierry Akono, 24, is headed to Malaysian first-tier side Negeri Sembilan, parent club Azam FC has announced on her Facebook handle.
Club message reads;
We have reached an agreement with Negeri Sembilan of Malaysia, to sell our player from Cameroon, Alain Thierry Akono Akono.
Akono joined Azam FC early this season as he came from Cameroon’s AS Fortuna club for a two year contract.
Akono is the third player sold by Azam FC this season.
We started with Novatus Dismas who went to Israel, followed by Chaban Id Chilunda who signed for a Moroccan club.
We are thankful for Akono’s services in our club and we wish him all the best in his new adventure. The club ended.

Meanwhile, Negeri Sembilan are desperately in need of a player with Akono’s striking prioress. Negeri are 11 of 12 teams in the Malaysian first-tier championship, having picked up 11 points out of 11 matches played.
Negeri Sembilan are one time winners of the Malaysian championship, back in 2006.
