Spanish outfit, Atlético de Madrid Femenino has officially announced the signing of Cameroonian forward Ajara Njoya Nchout, on a deal that runs till June 30, 2022.
Mysoccer24.com had announced some days back that Ajara was set to complete a move to the Spanish capital, and the club confirmed the arrival of the 27_year_old on Sunday morning.
“The Cameroonian International arrives to reinforce our attack. Welcome to your new home”, Atletico Madrid Femenino wrote on their Twitter handle.
Ajara joins the club from Norwegian side Valerenga, where she spend the last two seasons, and finished as top scorer in the Norwegian league, Toppserien in the just ended campaign.
” It is a great pleasure to join a team with a great record of achievements, a great club in both men’s and women’s football .”, Ajara told the club’s official website.
“ I am an attacker who plays on all three fronts, even behind the attack. I prefer to play as nine, but I am available for the coach to play where he thinks is best for the team and help the team grow and win ”, pointed out the Cameroonian forward.
Njoya Ajara assured: “ I would like all the rojiblancos to know that I am very proud to wear their colors. I am a very competitive player who believes in victory until the last minute. Cameroonians never hesitate, we never give up. I will put these values at the service of Atlético de Madrid. I will do my best to make them proud of me and the team.
The Cameroonian is the second African to join Atletico Madrid this week, after Nigerian Rasheedat Ajibade.
She is now set to discover a new championship, in spain that is currently hosting a hand full of Cameroonian players like Raissa Feudjou and Michaela Abam.
Atlético de Madrid Femenino finished second in the 2019_2020 Primera División, and Ajara Nchout will be a great addition to Dani González’s side.
