Official: Gabriel Zabo completes Stade Renard switch

Former Colombe of Dja gaffer, Gabriel Zabo has completed a switch to Stade Renard of Melong for an undisclosed period.

Barely a fortnight after matching opposite directions with his former employers, Zabo has been courted and gotten by Stade Renard.

The deal seemed inevitable especially with 2018 Elite One winning coach, Bertin Ebwelle quitting the club after after an unsatisfactory campaign.

Since their ascension into Cameroon’s top-tier Championship, Stade Renard have tussled to be amongst elites in the land.

The club finally got the nod and equally entered the conversations of elites, after their lone silverware came in 2019 (Cameroon cup.)

Gabriel Zabo baptized ‘ El Tactico’ has massive experience dating from his days at DAC, Fovu, most recently Colombe, and a queue of others.

Zabo marshalled Colombe to an unexpected third place finish after a difficult start to the season.

Zabo’s stats of 12 wins, 9 draws and 7 defeats plus a flamboyant play style last term pushed Stade management to making the move happen.

Sporting activities have been paused due to the CoronaVirus pandemic, but, with the decline of figures, Zabo could get to work earlier than expected.
