After a strong match in Limbe , PWD Bamenda have a night to forget in the CAF champions league. Kaizer Chiefs came to Cameroon. with a plan and executed it well. David Pagou side gave it their all but couldn’t find the goals in the CAF champions League preliminary round

After struggling for goals in the last preseason tournament, there was a sense brewing before today’s match that the dam might be about to burst – with Kaizer Chief the victims.

That did not proved to be the case, as PWD side were beating at home at the Limbe Omnisports Stadium by 1- 0. Gavin Hunt struggling side to earn a 1-0 win.

The result means PWD will have to carry the God’s of football to South Africa to score two goals without conceding, but it was an important opportunity to capitalise on home soil but they failed on match day

HASCHOU HASCHOU – 6/10

Barely tested. Good distribution, reliable when called upon. However, gets extra credit for standing up well to Kazer Chiefs roughing him up at set-pieces and  a smart  double save in the second half

NYAMBA BRAIN – 6/10

Another solid display from Nyaba.  A couple of energetic bursts forward troubled the Kazer Chiefs forwards , and it was a nice solidity at the defense

BURINYUY DERRICK – 6.5/10

Dominant aerial duels and always in the right place at the right time. One of the best players on the pitch, but missed the chance to grab a vital point PWD.

MBOURI YAMKAM – 6.5/10

Did what he had to do, but was guilty of being a bit too aggressive in the first half and conceding needless free-kicks. Had and opportunities in the early minutes of the second half but shot went wide.

BOUNG JOEL- 6/10

Sloppy first 30 minutes. Pagou gave him an exasperated look after one misplaced pass. However, took his chance well, and vastly improved after that. Overall, a strong showing from the left back that should give him some confidence.

COLLINS NDEH – 5/10

some incisive balls forward and protected the midfield well, though still to really prove the Ndeh Collins that ended the 2019_2020 football season. Captained the rest of the second half

NGONDI VICENT – 5/10

The midfielderput in a decent showing at both ends of the pitch, but could not really stamp his authority in the middle of the park when it was necessary.

LOUIZ MBAH – 6/10

P

Took his chances early into the game, and unlucky not to score. Looked sloppy in the second segment. It was not a surprise seeing him been substituted in the second half.

TCHAOUA leger – 4/10

Bad day in office for the forward.  He was completely a reverse of the Tchaoua Leger who ran the show against Al-Ali Tripoli last week.  His substitution before the second segment, was not a surprise.

NCHINDO JOHN BOSCO – 6/10

Struggled to impose himself in the game. Tidy on the ball as always and generally decent but you’d have liked the Bamenda base striker to have offered a bit more. He was substituted in the second half

ENYEGUE FRANCIOS – 4/10

Seemingly his worst game in a PWD shirt. The 18_year_old wasted  a good couple of chances for the Abakwa Boys and slowed down build up play. Unnecessarily kept the ball too and was always wanting in his passes.
