AS Fortuna and Fauve Azur, have played a draw in the final of the Tournoi de Solidarité played this Sunday in Mbankomo. Tight 2#2 after 90 minutes, both sides again produced a scintillating 13#13 in the penalty shootout, till night fall.

Goalkeeper moïse pouaty made a great save just three minutes on, to prevent Fauve Azur from taking the lead.

The two sides struggled to get a veritable goal scoring opportunity in the first quarter of the game. Fortuna resorted to counter attacks and Ako Loïc at the 17th minute of the game produced Fortuna’s first short on target, which was well saved by Goalkeeper Nkari Daniel of Fauve Azur.

With a heavy downpour that started shortly after kick-off, the pitch became practically unplayable, forcing central referee, Ngwa Blaise to halt the game after 36 minutes.

When play eventually resumed, Fortuna took the lead at the 39 minute, through Beken Franck. A score which they protected till the break.

At the 78th minute, Fortuna’s Bessong Junior capitalized on a defensive lapse from Fauve Azur, to put Fortuna ahead.

All hopes seemed lost for Fauve Azur, untill substitute, Victor Onana produced a moment of magic at the 82nd minute, with an acrobatic drive that got Goalkeeper Moïse pouaty rooted.
