Supporters of PWD Social football Club of Bamenda in the US state of Minnesota, have held a Championship celebration party and fundraiser, as the club prepares for the new football season.
The event took place on Saturday October 10, 2020, in Minnesota, USA, under the coordination of PWD Bamenda fan club Minnesota, and North Coordinators
It was a great moment of communion between fans of the Abakwa Boys, as they celebrated their darling club’s first ever silverware in the club’s 58_years history. The fans used the occasion to go down memory lane, and revisit the rich history of the great club, with their activities and players since 1973 to present. This was done with the help of fervent supporters like Maitre Albert Usmanu, Maitre Udeani, Rabio Mohammed, and Bobe Silas Waindim.

At the end of the event, the sum of 6.5 millions francs CFA was raised, to assist the club in its continental and Elite one campaigns for the 2020_2021 season.
The PWD North America coordinators have set as targets, to increasing their membership, especially at a time when the management of PWD, recently reorganized the North American branch of PWD’s supporters union, into the East, South, Midwest and Canada branches, under the general coordination of Valery Atanga.
PWD took the Cameroon league one championship by storm in the 2019_2020 campaign, as they pipped heavyweights, cotonsport of Garoua to clinch the league title, when the championship was declared ended in May by FECAFOOT, with six match days to go. The Abakwa Boys are currently on preseason camping in Yaoundé, after previous camps in Bamenda, Limbe and Malabo.
