26 clubs started the race to become champions of the South West Region, but two distinguished themselves as the two best teams in the region.
Best Stars and LIFCA all from the Limbe sub division, will go head to head to determine who to represent the region at the national inter pools, as the #bring back elite football continues.
Best Stars Academy of Limbe won all three mini inter pool matches, scoring 7 goals and conceded no goal. LIFCA on their part, won two games and drew one game. Scored 8 goals and conceded 3 goals.
Day three Review.
Eteki Esoh Memorial Sport Academy (EEMSA) played Buea United in their last group game. The game however did not have any stakes attached to it, but pride and honor count, as EEMSA defeated Buea United 2-1 to finished third in Pool A. A brace from top scorer who scored his 21st goal of the season, While Marcus Nkwelle scored the Loan goal for the Mountain boys.
In the other group game, Best Stars Academy beat Continental FA 1-0 to clinch a spot in the final. It took just two minutes for Star man Lyonga Jonas to do the damage. Continental FA were reduced to 10 men, after George Eyong received a red card just before half-time. The defeat means their 12 games unbeaten run finally came to an end.
The preasure was more tense in Pool B, as the door was still open for Cinyodev FA, Tiko United and LIFCA.
LIFCA however, did what they had to do as they dismantled Nkamanyi FI 6-1. Five goals from Mozart Gwet and Substitute Marius Cherubum scored the sixth to give LIFCA an easy walk into the final.
While other game, Cinyodev FA and Tiko United seperated on a 2-2 draw. Graham Mbong scored a brace for Cinyodev, while Enow Tama and Ekene Levinus scored for the Samba boys.
It should be noted that all the games were played at the same time to avoid match fixing.
The final has been set for August 8, 2021.
