Matches counting for day 8 of the ongoing south west Regional Championship, were played over the weekend with some eye catching results recorded. 39 goals were scored in 10 matches, five lesser than that of the Previous playing day. Big wins for Tiko United, EEMSA, LIFCA and Best Stars Academy of Limbe.
In Buea, Prisons FC of Buea ended the season third in Pool A with 7 points, as they beat Mount Cameroon FC 2-0. Goals from Mborog Collins and Sameh Mbolem gave the home boys all three points.
In Limbe, the unthinkable happened, as the dark horse of Pool D, Best Stars Academy shocked group favorites, Option Sports Academy with a 3-1 win. The win means Best Stars Academy are the team to represent Pool D at the mini inter pool.
Still in Limbe, LIFCA and NQSA finished top of Pool C with 15 points each, after wins against ISOHSA and FUSSA respectively. The decision to determine who represents the pool at the mini inter pool is still to be confirmed.

Goal machine, Bache Manfred was unstoppable as he netted four goals against Treviso in their 11-1 win. He has now scored a record 9 goals in two matches, and he is the league’s top scorer with 15 goals.
Jemea Soppo of Best Stars Academy was one of those players who created an impact in their game against Option Sports Academy. He scored and provided an assist in their 3-1 win over Option Sports Academy.
Ngody Eyobo of Tiko United scored a hat trick as his side demolished Little Foot 6-0 in Tiko.
Mbi Perkins of EEMSA was also in the hall of fame of match day 8, as he scored in a hat trick against Treviso.
