Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa was brought in at the 82nd minute for Napoli in their match day 28 clash against AC Milan in the Italian top flight championship.
The former Marseille man replaced Piotr Zielinsky, but his presence couldn’t help Luciano Spelletti and his charges clinch a point as Olivier Giroud’s lone goal was enough to see AC Milan grab all three points.
Two weeks ago, Zambo Anguissa sustained an injury in their Europa league clash against Barcelona, as the player limped off after he sustained an injury. The club later confirmed in their website that, the test showed a Grade 1 lesion to the long Adductor in his Left thigh. Consequently, that would keep the player out of action for some weeks.
However, his return after close to weeks in the sidelines is a relief for not only the club, but also his country.
The 25-year-old is part of the preselected list released by new head coach, Rigobert Song as the country prepares for a crucial double header against Algeria on the FIFA world cup playoffs later this month.
Zambo has so far featured in 16 league matches for Napoli this season.
