South West Regional Football League 2019/2020: The stakes of Match Day Two, Group G

With Tiko as host city, The Town Green Stadium will be looking forward to hosting match day Two of group G.

Tiko United VS Little Foot FC (1pm)

The game promises to produce fire works as both clubs have over 20 years in existence. Tiko United morally boasted by the fact that they have never been beaten by Little Foot FC in the history of the South West Regional Football League. Last year, these two sides met twice in the league;

  • First leg:  Tiko United 2-2 Little Foot
  • Return leg:  Little Foot 1-5 Tiko United

Tiko United, alias “The Samba boys” beat Little foot 2 – 0 in a preseason friendly before booting them out once more in the Cup of Cameroon.

Little Foot FC  has made a number of recruits and has gained experience with over 80% of their players coming out of  Tiko Town with a new Head Coach who hails from the other side of the Mungo river with a different game philosophy. They are the only club among the Four in the city that look more like a visitor in this group (Coming from Mutengene ). With popular home support, Tiko United is on the advantage going into the clash.

Ajax FC VS EEMSA (3 pm)

Another game that looks difficult on paper with both sides having over 75% of their players as beginners in the Regional League. Both side were very active with pre – season Tournaments and were all eliminated in the Cup of Cameroon in the very First phase. Ajax FC lost to Tiko United on match day one but showed some signs of progress while EEMSA recorded a 1 – 1 draw with Little Foot FC. Both sides will be looking forward to better their performance.
