StarTimes to invest $1 million in the coverage of the 2020/2021 league season

Ghana Premier League official broadcast right holders, StarTimes have indicated that they will be investing over $1 million in the coverage of the 2020/2021 league season.  In 2019, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) sealed a bumper deal with Africa’s leading pay-TV operator, making them Chinese-owned firm the official right holders of the Premier League and the FA Cup.  Ahead of the new football season, StarTimes will be hugely involved to provide the best coverage for the Ghanaian top-flight league.     At the official launch of the 2020/2021 football season today, Mrs. Akorfa Banson, Head of Marketing of StarTimes in Ghana has revealed that the firm is poised to invest a whopping $1 million in the coverage of the Ghana Premier League season.  According to her, 8 camera’s will work on every matchday with multiple live games set to be broadcasted to fans every weekend.  The new Ghana Premier League season is expected to kick off on the weekend of November 13-15 with Aduana Stars and Hearts of Oak set to light up Matchday 1 in a titanic encounter,

GFA, Melcom Ghana announce partnership agreement for Ghana Premier League

The Ghana Football Association (GFA), is pleased to announce Melcom Ghana Limited as a new partner.  Melcom Ghana, a retail giant, has been operating in Ghana for more than three decades and now becomes the Official Partner of the GFA.  Melcom Group is best known for its shopping mall, Melcom Limited. As Ghana’s largest chain of retail department stores, Melcom offers thousands of products and hundreds of well-known brands.     The Ghana Football Association welcomes the retail giants unto its fold.  They join MTN, InterCity STC, Decathlon, Macron, StarTimes, Nasco, Puma as partners of the Association.  The deal will be launched in the coming days by the parties.

Because of Stadium Hooliganism,every season clubs loses vital points because of supporters behaviors before, during and after a game.
Ahead of the new season, coach Malik Jabir in an interview with JK Bofo on Ghana- Tadi Radio Station West FM 87.9,believe the FA through the Technical Director have to come out with educative programs.

“The FA’s Technical Director should engage all the clubs and give them special education about the upcoming season when it comes to Stadium Hooliganism because time has come for us to withness fair results and we can achieve that if players, coaches and supporters respect the rules. The Referees should be respected as well

“Kotoko got a lot of challenges during last season campaign because of Stadium Hooliganism and this time we have to put stop to that.
Supporters should learn how to comport themselves”

” For me, I’m ever ready to campaign against Stadium Hooliganism if the FA appoint me as an ambassador for that because football is not a war but they have to pay me just as other members of the FA are receiving money.
I have worked for the FA for so many occasions without salary”
