Table toppers,Canon Yaoundé and PWD Bamenda dominate elite 2 best XI for March

For the very first time this season,the Cameroon professional football league (LFPC) has published a team of the best performant players and coach.

The of 12 actors published on the League’s Facebook page in the early hours Saturday 14 April 2018 contains the names of the 11 players and a coach whose performance was exceptional in the month of March 2018.

The list released has 3 players from table toppers Canon Yaoundé,3 from second placed PWD,2 names each from Lion Blesse of Fortuni, and Avion Nkam, 1 name each from TKC and 1 from Cosmos FC of Mbam.

This comes days after the publication of the best XI for the league one Championship, that of league 2 will certainly be a moral boaster for players in this category of football.

The LFPC elite 2 team for the month of March includes; League 2 top scorer with 6 goals,Brice Edmund Sindjo of Canon Yaoundé who is paired upfront with his Canon colleague kunde Emmanuel Junior and Aime Gerard Mangolo of Avion.

Kunde Emmanuel has netted 5 times this season with 3 of his goals coming after he is introduced from the bench including the winner in the Derby against TKC.Aime Mangolo has equally been on fine form for Avion especially in Buea and his 5 goals so far this season see the veteran earn a place in the team of the month.

In the midfield LFPC has named a trio all from different clubs.Former Renaissance of Ngoumou and Canon man;Anaba Patrick Metogo, who attracted the attention of the local media in a round of 64 in the cup of Cameroon game after he scored 7 times in an 11 nil win over amateur side Little Foot FC makes it into the team as a midfielder after netting 5 times as a winger this season. He is partnered in the midfield by Lion Blesse anchor man Abane Martial Kong and Francis Fanfan Mbarga the little pee in the Cosmos FC midfield. Fanfan and Tony Achu have been a joy to watch this season.Fanfan started the season slowly but is increasingly becoming the team’s propelar.

In the goalkeeping Motchoyo Junior of PWD is considering the best performer in the month of March with 4 clean sheets in 7 games.

George Bikele of Avion Nkam who has started all 7 games as captain this season protects the back of the team from the heart of it,alongside Ndong Luc Stephane of Lion Blesse of Fortuni while Stanley Ekema who featured in all PWD’s games in March and Joel Sandriel Bahou of Canon with 1 goal and 1 assist in 6 games in March occupy the left and right back positional respectively.

Jean Baptiste Tougem has been nominated as the best coach of the month and he is expected to show what he is made up of when he carries his team to Yaounde to challenge Jean Pierre Ngwe’s Canon.PWD remains the only undefeated elite club so far this season.
