TERMSTA 0-1 Tiko United: Ngody Eyobo Secures Narrow Win For Samba Boys.

Tiko United returned to winning ways following a 1-0 win over TERMSTA on Match day three.

The Samba boys of Tiko record second win of the season as they beat newly promoted side, TERMSTA 1-0 in their match day three clash of the South West Regional championship at the UB field today Sunday April 24, 2022.

Ngody Eyobo’s  25th minute strike from close range gave the 2009 elite one champions all three points.

Goalkeeper of TERMSTA, Brandon Asirake received the first yellow card of the game few minutes to halftime after he handled the ball out of his territory. The verdict was a handball and an indirect kick. John Njoh of Tiko United then scored the spot kick, but was ruled out by the first assistant referee following the center referee’s failure to indicate an indirect kick.

The win for the Samba boys mean they have now lost just two of their last 14 games of in the league and that was against EEMSA on the opening game of last season and NQSA in their second game of this season.

For TERMSTA, they have now lost all three games conceding eight goals and scoring just one goal.

Next stop for TERMSTA is against Prisons FC of Buea, while Tiko United face Continental FA.

TERMSTA had a bright start to game when Robinho dribble pass Alain Bisse, but his shot went wide.

Then comes Tiko United’s Pascal Daniel who had a clearing chance at the 15th minute, but goalkeeper Brandon of TERMSTA saved his side.

Tiko United continue to Mount pressure as Ngody Eyobo dribble pass Bwen Giovanni, but shot wasn’t good enough to beat goalkeeper Brandon of TERMSTA.

Then Tiko United break the deadlock at the 25th minute as Ngody Eyobo scored from close range, benefiting from a Dieudonne Billa assist to put the Samba Boys in front.

TERMSTA came so close again through Robinho, but his overhead kick was saved by the Tiko United goalkeeper.

Few minutes before halftime, Goalkeeper Brandon of TERMSTA handled the ball out of his territory. This led to an indirect kick for Tiko United. John Njoh scored the spot kick, but the goal was ruled out following the failure of the referee to indicate that it was an indirect kick.

The second half saw both teams losing chances.

Robinho ones again had a chance to level scores but his shot couldn’t hit the target.

Then Dieudonne Billa and Pascal Daniel combined to put the game beyong reach for TERMSTA, but the Dormer’s shot was saved.

Chances from both teams in the reminder of the game, but no fruits yield as it ended 1-0 to Tiko United.
