The Dark cloud closing in on Cameroonian footballers in the Diaspora

Sometimes it doesn’t rain but it pours.
The recent administrative problems plaguing Cameroon football now have it’s ghost chasing Cameroon professional footballers all the way to their foreign clubs.

For the first time in his illustrious career Samuel Etoo fils is bordered about being relegated.

Etoo amongst other Cameroonian footballers out of their home country have being involved in the struggle to avoid relegation this term.

To begin with the league widely referred to ad the most watched league, the English premier league.

Two Cameroonian players still very close to the national selection in Allan Romeo Nyom and Jean Maxim Choupou Moting are in the relegation dog fight this season.

Choupou who is in his first campaign at Stoke city from Schalke 04 has endured tough times in his first professional football venture out of Germany his land of birth. With 4 goals in 21 appearances including a brace against Manchester United the Cameroonian forward and his club Stoke are ranked 19th out of 20 clubs in the English premier league.
Only West Bromwich Albion is behind Stoke city.

Still in England west Bromwich Albion defender Allan Nyom has been a regular with West Bromwich Albion this season but his club’s form has been one to forget.
West Bromwich Albion is topping the premier league table from the bottom. If the premier league ends today Nyom and Moting will go down with their clubs.

As mentioned above, Strange Enough the Cameroonian golden boy who has won it all but for the world cup and FIFA confederations,Samuel Etoo is doing his all to keep Konyaspor in the Turkish super league though the clranked currently ranked 17th out of 18 clubs in the Turkish super league. Etoo surprisingly joined Konyaspor from Antalyaspor in January and risk being relegated for the first time ever.

Jean Claude Billong who joined Benevento from Maribor in January is down and out of the Serie A.
Benevento are mathematically out of the Serie A.With games to spell the Italian side take Billong back to where she is coming from (Serie B) after just 1 top flight campaign.Benevento is 20th in a 20 club championship.

Still in Europe Spanish based duo Fabrice Ondoa(AFCON winner) and Yann Eteki are having it hot at the feeder team of Sevilla in Spain. Sevilla B is the the lowest ranked side in terms of points accumulated in Spanish Secunda B.Sevilla B is 22nd best in a 22 club championship.

Still in Europe,France to be precise,another 2017 AFCON winner in Jules Goda is struggling with 2nd tier side Tours to keep their championship status.The club is currently the last ranked club amongst 20 clubs in the 2nd tier of French football.

In the Mexican top flight, Patrick Solo of Atlas is having tough times, his club Atlas is 17th in the 18 club Mexican championship.

In the Swiss top flight home to Nicolas Ngamaleu,Jean Pierre Nsame and FC Sion Duo;Christian Zock and Freddy Mveng,Christian and Freddy are struggling to keep their sides in it.FC Sion is currently ranked 10th in the 10 club Swiss top flight league.

This may be a mere coincidence, but few if not many will like to argue that if the domestic championship in Cameroon had reached an acceptable level of professionalism, with government leading the call to order of some club admistrators, it wouldn’t have been impossible to think some of this footballers
With the Cameroonian blood would have been looking at options from back home.
