Total CHAN 2020:🇺🇬 McKinstry confirms cranes final 25_man Squad, confirms captain

Uganda is the first country to make known their final squad for the tournament

The head coach of the cranes of Uganda Johnathan McKinstry, has submitted his finally list of 25 players to represent the country at the upcoming African Nations championship in Cameroon.

McKinstry and his boys have been in Yaoundé, Cameroon for a week now, where they have been taking part in a Pre_CHAN tournament.

Five players from Kampala Capital city FC (KCCA FC), will be joining the team in Yaoundé, after they were still held back in Uganda due to club duties.

According to an official release from the Ugandan football federation, McKinstry has also confirmed Vipers SC defender Lwaliwa Halid will Captain the team.

The final squad is made up of four goalkeepers, eight defenders, six Midfielders and seven forwards.

The final 25 man Squad with clubs and shirt numbers in brackets.

The cranes will play their last game of the pre_CHAN tournament in yaounde this Thursday afternoon, against the Mena of Niger. They had previously drew one and won one of their two games in Yaoundé.

The team is expected to leave Yaoundé on Friday January 08, for Douala, where they will continue preparations.

Uganda is in Group C alongside defending champions Morocco, neighbours Rwanda and new comers Togo. Their first group game comes up on January 18, at the Reunification stadium, against Rwanda.
