The Amavubi Stars of Rwanda, have landed in Cameroonian territory on Wednesday afternoon.
Coach Mashami Vincent and his boys jetted in through the Douala International airport, and have taken up residence at Hotel Residence La Falaise in Douala.
According to official sources from the Rwandan Football Federation, the team will hold their first training session on Cameroonian territory on Wednesday evening.
Before their departure to Cameroon, the Amavubi Stars had a visit from the Rwandan minister of sports, Aurore Mimosa on Tuesday evening, as she officially flagged them off to Cameroon.
Coach Mashami Vincent will be leading the Amavubi Stars to their fourth ever participation at the African Nations championship, with the hopes of doing better than the quarter finals in the 2016 edition, their best ever performance in the competition.
Rwanda is lodged in Group C of the competition, alongside Morocco, Togo and Uganda. Their first game is scheduled for January 18, against the cranes of Uganda.
Ahead of their departure to Cameroon, they were involved in a series of friendly games, with the latest being a 1#0 win over Congo.
