Total CHAN 2020: 🇺🇬Uganda unveils 25 Man Squad For pre_CHAN Tournament In Cameroon

Uganda's cranes are expected to leave for Cameroon this Monday

The head coach of the Cranes of Uganda Johnathan McKinstry, has made known his 25_man traveling squad, that will take part in the four Nation pre_CHAN tournament in Cameroon.

According to fufa.co.ug, the Contingent of 25 players will depart to Cameroon on Monday afternoon (3pm), with KCCA FC players expected to join the team after their CAF Confederation Cup fixture against AS Kigali.

35_year_old McKinstry has named a squad made up of three Goalkeepers, eight defenders, six Midfielders and eight attackers.

The Cranes will be traveling to Cameroon without Goalkeeper’s coach Fred Kajoba, who was released from camp, after not being able to observe the camp regulations at the Team Hotel in Kisasi which require all members of the contingent to follow the strict Covid-19 SOPs. Sadiq Wassa has now been assigned to take charge of the goalkeepers.

The pre_CHAN tournament that brings together four countries that will participate in the African Nations championship, will kick-off in Cameroon as from January 01, 2021, and will run till January 07, nine days before the start of the CHAN.

McKinstry and his boys will face Cameroon, Zambia and Niger in the pre_CHAN tournament. The Cranes are paired in pool C of the CHAN, alongside Morocco, Rwanda and Togo.
