Draw for the U20 African Nations cup Mauritania 2021, have been made. The draw ceremony took place at the Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé on Monday morning.
12 Nations will battle to see who succeeds Mali, who won the last edition of the competition that took place in Niger 2019.
Qualifiers for the competition took place in the six CAF zones, with each zone producing two representatives.
Cameroon’s football legend, Emmanuel Maboang Kessack assisted in the draw.
According to the draws, host Nation, Mauritania, will play Cameroon’s U20 lions in the opening game on February 14.

The 16th edition of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania, will from 14 February to March 04, 2021. This will be the first edition in Africa U-20 Cup of Nations to have expanded to 12 teams instead of eight.
The biennial international youth football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for players aged 20 and below. The top four teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia as the CAF representatives.
