Cameroon international Moumi Nguemaleu and Jordan Siebatcheu of Cameroon descent were on target as Swiss Champions Young Boys humbled 10 men Manchester United 2-1 in their champions league opening game.
Young Boys looked the inferior side before the game, as it was a reality when star for man for the Red Devils, Christiano Ronaldo scored at the 13th minute, benefiting from an assist from Bruno Fernandez.
The game at this point looked difficult for the Swiss Champions, but at 35th minute, Manchester United right back, Wan Bissaka received a red card, as this became a turning point in the game.
Despite one man down, three times European champions held their lead at the end of the first 45 minutes.
Upon resumption of the Second half, Young Boys began mounting preasure since they had the numerical advantage, as they finally got their equalizer through Cameroon international Moumi Nguemaleu at the 66th minute, benefiting from an assist from Silvan Heffi.
With home advantage also on their side, the Swiss got the winner at the 95th minute through Jordan Siebatcheu of Cameroonian descent, as they humbled last year’s Europa league finalists 2-1.
Young Boys now top their group temporarily with three points, while awaiting the outcome of the other group game between Atlanta and Villarreal.
