Holding on through the game, Guinea Bissau had few chances leaving the control of the game to Guineans who seemed much more athletic and technically in control of the game.
The players from Bissau will hold on up to the 85minute when Ousmane Camara will get the breakthrough , first on a ball released by the Bissau goalkeeper.(1-0) Three minutes later, Victor Kantabadouno will seal Guinea’s victory through a 25 m distant shot that will once more surprise goalkeeper Alberto Coli of Guinea Bissau.

Post match reactions
Emiliano Te, coach for Guinea-Bissau explains the premature exit of his team from the competition due to the youthfulness of his players.
“We conceded 2 goals at the last moments which can be explained by the fact that we have very young players.”
Mohamed Bangoura, the Guinean gaffer is satisfied with the progression of his team:
“This tournament also serves as CHAN preparation. Scoring two goals without conceding is a good thing. We expected a difficult game but I didn’t recognize my team in the first half. Ball recovery wasn’t as we expected. We carried out a number of changes which proved effective. We missed many goals scoring chances. We had to change our strategy with 4 offensive players. The team is really improving. “
Guinea qualifies for the semi-finals of the Plate competition and will face the winner of the game Mauritania vs Gambia
