WAFU: It’s a Shame! Black Queens coach upset with officiating

 

 

_Former FIFA Referee and current coach of the Womens national team of Ghana the Black Queens, Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo has complained bitterly on the low level of officiating in the ongoing West Africa Football Union (WAFU) in La Coté Di’voire.

The ex-referee cum footballer having witnessed an abysmal officiating in her side 6-0 win over Togo on Friday at the Stade Robert Champroux, from center referee Aurore Christelle, says she feels ashamed having handled the whistle before.

Describing the standard of officiating as a no, no, with low level and shouldn’t be allowed to take in-charge of such tournaments.

“If I have to score the center referee it will be 1.1 % believe me. She was not cheating us but she didn’t know what she was doing as a referee”.

“She didn’t know what exactly she was doing, especially when there was an infringement”There is something we call wait and see but when is obvious there is no need to wait and see”, Tagoe told the presser after their game on Friday.

“I was just wondering why such referees with low level should be invited here”.

The FIFA badge referee from Benin was assisted by Talou Prisca and Mariam Coulibaly as line 1 and 2 respectively.

The Black Queens will play host Ivory Coast in the semi finals of the WAFU cup on Monday after topping Group B.
