The Second edition of Walk For Life one of its kind in Africa begins on Friday, December 2 2021 in the town of friendship with a health campaign that will run for two days
Walk For Life under the guidance of the Vision Bearer Henry Njalla Quan Jr is a low-cost and cost-effective way of helping people in local areas to take control of their own health and lead more active lives by taking part in regular led health walks.
The health Campaign starts as early as 8 am on Friday and participants all over the national territory will be screened on different diseases like inactivity and obesity, diabetes, and hypertension due to lack of sports exercise
Interestingly this season Dr. Ekiti Martin unveiled plans of eye consultation which will be partnered with the PCC Health Service ( Pediatric Eye Hospital) for a proper eye check, fundoscopy, Visual acuity, and cataract screening
We have decided to support Walk For Life because we have noted the importance of physical exercise to eye health.
The maiden edition of the walk for life saw over 600 people screened and over 1000 participants took part in the 10km sports walk.
This year we are looking at over 1000 people for health campaign and over 2000 people for sports walk
