The intermediate lions of Cameroon have beaten Cameroon league one side Canon of yaounde 3#0 in a friendly game. The game took place on Wednesday morning, at the CAF Excellence center in Mbankomo, as part of an ongoing preseason tournament, dubbed Festi-solidarité.
Colombe’s Forward, Man Ykre Dangomo, gave Martin Ndtoungou Mpile’s side the lead at the 45th minute, before 30_year_old former Esperance of Tunis man, Hervé Yannick N’Djeng scored a brace (at the 48 and 59 minutes), to punish Birwe Minkreo’s Kpa Kum.
With barely a month and some days to go to the 2021 African Nations championship, the intermediate lions continue to fine tune preparations. Coach Martin Ndtoungou Mpile recently called to camp 28 players, and will use their participation in the Festi-solidarité, to evaluate their performance.
Some of the players called to camp impressed in the win over Canon, with YOSA’s Oscar Etoga stamping his authority at the back for the intermediate lions, while Colombe’s right back Ebanda, grabbed two assists.
Goalkeeper Dande Junior showed his class, with some fine saves, while 16_year_old Franck Edima also made his first appearance for the intermediate lions.
Coach Martin Ndtoungou Mpile has recently welcome to camp players from Cotonsport and PWD’s trio of Haschou Kerrido, Boung Joel Ondoa and Yamkam Basile, as well as coach David Pagou, who were involved in club assignment over the weekend.
