Youssoufa Moukoko was on the history books again on Tuesday night. This time, in the champions league, as the lad became the youngest player to play in the competition.
Youssoufa smashed the previous record held by former Super Eagles and Chelsea man, Celestine Babayaro. Youssoufa’s debut against Zenit came at 16 years, 18 days, better than Babayaro who debuted at 16 years and 87 days some 26 years ago.
Born to a Cameroon mother and father, there seems to be some sort of arm wrestling for the youngster at a tender age.
Moukoko has some frightening statistics. Weeks back, Moukoko scored a record 10 goals in just three appearances for Dortmund’s Under-19’s – all while aged 15 and wearing the captain’s armband – to extend his incredible record at youth level for Dortmund views 141 goals in 88 youth team appearances – and counting.
