Gor Mahia head coach Marcelo Pereira Ze Maria showed his delight with Gor Mahia win over Chemelil Sugar at the Thika Stadium yesterday.
Two goals from Timothy Otieno and Kenneth Muguna ensured that Gor Mahia bulldozed their way to the top of league standings, speaking after the match Ze Maria did not seem to be astonished by his teams move to the top and only down played it “It is important for the players and their confidence but for me, it is not very important to be on top now. It will be important for me if on the last day of the league we are on top. We need to continue in this way improving and playing well in each game,” Ferreira said after the win over Chemelil.
ZeMaria also added that the lack of Rwandan import Jacques Tuyisenge from the starting eleven and on the bench too did not mean anything to raise eyebrows, “im just rotating my squad i have a squad of 30 and each has a role to play some may play some games and miss others and ofcourse all of them want to play and i have to give them the chance to do so” Ze Maria stated.
